Getting Started with Zabt
Three short guides to take you from a blank workspace to a fully-running selection cycle with a calibrated panel.
Step 01
Setting up your first event
- From the dashboard, click New event and give it a name, date, and timezone.
- Add your participants — paste a CSV, import from Typeform/Google Forms, or add them manually.
- Define one or more rounds (e.g. Pre-screen, Live pitch, Final).
- Upload supporting materials to the Document Vault so your panel can review ahead of time.
Step 02
Inviting your panel
- Open the event and go to Evaluators.
- Add each evaluator's name and email — Zabt sends a branded invitation with a single-click access link.
- Assign evaluators to specific rounds. They will only see participants for the rounds they cover.
- Evaluators get early access to the Document Vault. Scoring sliders unlock automatically at the event start time.
Step 03
Understanding weighted criteria
Each round has its own scoring sheet, broken into sections (e.g. Team, Market, Product) and criteria within each section.
- Section weight — the relative importance of a section across the round (must sum to 100%).
- Criterion weight — the relative importance of each criterion within its section.
- Scale — defaults to 0–10. Each criterion's score is normalized, then weighted, to produce a final ranking.
- Set thoughtful weights once and reuse the structure across cohorts to keep the institutional standard consistent.
